چکیده
In the current study processes of soil deterioration over past five decades was evaluated. Land degradation risk, status, and rate were assessed in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, Egypt, 2016 using OLI ETM (2002) remote sensing data, data from 1961.A quantitative produced based on comparative approach integrated weighted sum, overlay, fuzzy model. The parameters used depth, texture, pH, EC, OM, SAR, ESP, CEC, CaCO3, BD, N, P, K. variables measurements derived Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE). results implemented USLE GIS model-builder revealed prevalence severe region, include four main risks: water-logging, compaction, salinization, alkalization. During 2002–2016, sealing took place 36,297.87 ha area (9.7% total area). Urban sprawl one most noticed problems that became apparent during fieldwork inventory land resources investigation area. is hidden manifestations desertification, it implicit explanation for lost agricultural production process. showed investigated soil, as a part north Nile Delta, very fragile system needs to be protected, especially under effect climate change areas overloaded with population, because their negative effects properties. According this study, recommended same applied similar semi-arid regions help building database use will useful decision-maker monitor changes lands.

Multifractal analysis of meteorological time series to assess climate impacts
Agro-meteorological quantities are often in the form of time series, and knowledge about their temporal scaling properties is fundamental for transferring locally measured fluctuations to larger scales and vice versa. However, the scaling analysis of these quantities is complicated due to the presence of localized trends and nonstationarities. The objective of this study was to characterise sca...
